Not Guilty!

Am I perfect?
No!
But Christ,
ㅤthrough his sacrifice,
ㅤbecause of his love,
Has declared me Perfect.
So,
ㅤI’m not guilty.

There is no blemish on my record.
There is no past hanging over me.
My slate is wiped clean.
I’m not guilty.

I remember my past.
The things I’ve done.
I may feel guilt.
But,
ㅤI’m not guilty.

When my Father looks at me,
ㅤhe sees perfection.
He sees what Christ has done.
He sees no flaws.
For,
ㅤI’m not guilty.

When I wallow in self-doubt.
When I dwell on my failures.
I ignore the truth.
I believe the lie.
Because,
ㅤI’m not guilty.

My Lord. My God.
You paid my debt.
Covered my past.
Made me perfect.
Yet…
I forget your truth.
I focus on me.
On what I see.
But today Lord Jesus,
ㅤI see what you see.
I believe what you have done.
Today,
ㅤI’m not guilty.
