Take paper, pen and NO DEVICES!

Write down 3 things that you wish were off your plate.

They could be niggling things, but stuff you hate doing and have to do.

(Hot candidates are sales and admin work.)

Then look at three things you are doing that you enjoy doing but slow you down.

Chances are these are areas of your technical expertise, and you’ve become the technician in your business.

Next: pick one roadblock, and one fun bottleneck.

What’s a “fun bottleneck”? That’s something that you really enjoy doing, but is a very poor use of your time. In fact, it’s making you a bottleneck because you’re treating yourself like you’re an employee in your business. (That’s how the business became your boss).

So, you have a roadblock, and a fun bottleneck.

Choose one.

Working ON your business like this can remove the bottlenecks quicker than you think. Do it with a friend, a business coach (like me!), a mastermind, or on your own.

The breakthrough can be massive, and the long-term benefit can move you from employee to business owner.
